Therapy Sessions

“…I’m afraid of being seen…”

These are the words I most often hear during therapy sessions. They reflect a form of social anxiety, when life is held back by the constant thought: “What will others think?”

The fear of being seen is a lack of self-love and low self-confidence. It manifests through inner beliefs: “I wasn’t given this gift, I’m uninteresting to anyone, everyone around me has achieved so much, and I…”

Often this fear is carried from childhood. Thoughts such as “people like me don’t matter to the world,” “I’m of no use” become an invisible burden that prevents moving forward. Such a person chooses to hide: “if I’m seen, I’ll fail again and be rejected…”

Years pass, but life feels stuck. But perhaps it’s time to remember your uniqueness? To dare to live your own life, not the one others expect of you?

The essence lies in choices.

In my therapy sessions, I rely on Gestalt therapy principles – a method that helps restore connection with oneself and the world.

What is Gestalt therapy?

Gestalt therapy is one of the most important schools of psychotherapy, created in the mid-20th century by physician and psychiatrist Frederick “Fritz” Perls. It is a method that combines existentialist philosophy, Eastern wisdom, and a phenomenological, dialogue-based approach.

Gestalt therapy is genuine contact: with oneself, with others, and with the environment. It is the ability to live “here and now,” experiencing the moment with mind, heart, and body.

The main goal of therapy is to cultivate awareness. When a person develops awareness, they:

  • perceive themselves and others more clearly,

  • recognize needs and behavioral patterns,

  • understand their role in relationships and in life.

A Gestalt therapist helps the client to know themselves more deeply, to understand what is happening in their life, and most importantly – to see how they themselves contribute to it.

Gestalt therapy helps to:

  • free oneself from imposed stereotypes,

  • accept previously rejected parts of the self,

  • become aware of sensations, emotions, and needs,

  • be here and now, instead of living only in the past or the future,

  • take responsibility for one’s life.

It is not just a technique. It is a process that leads to deeper self-knowledge, a fuller relationship with the environment, and a harmonious life.

Gestalt therapy is the therapy of a free person.

If these words resonated with you – it means the time has come to take the first step.

I invite you to join therapy sessions and discover your authentic life together.

IS THIS FOR ME?

Therapeutic sessions can be helpful for anyone who wants to better understand themselves and their emotions, explore their patterns of behaviour, or is going through a challenging period in life. They may be especially suitable if:

  • You feel inner anxiety, tension, or dissatisfaction, but find it difficult to identify where these feelings come from.

  • You notice recurring patterns in your behaviour or relationships that prevent you from living the way you would like to – at work, in relationships, or in the way you relate to yourself.

  • You are going through a major life change or crisis – such as a loss, the end of a relationship, professional burnout, or a period of self-discovery.

  • You want to better understand your emotions and learn to recognise and express them in healthier ways, rather than suppressing or pushing them away.

  • You feel that “something isn’t right,” but cannot quite put it into words. Gestalt therapy can help you explore the connection between bodily sensations, thoughts, and emotions, bringing greater awareness to things that often go unnoticed.

  • You want to focus on the here and now. Gestalt therapy is not only about analysing the past – it also emphasises awareness of the present moment, authentic contact, and a deeper understanding of your needs.

  • You are looking for a safe, non-judgemental space to talk, where you can be truly yourself.
